What Foundations certifies
This holder uses AI on the job and can draft a basic AI Safety Policy. The holder completed 12 hours of training covering Why AI Safety Is Not Security, How AI Can Fail You, Truth & Bias, Privacy & Confidentiality, Accountability & Law, and Ship It: Final Policy, then the identity-verified exam (60 questions, 60 minutes, 70% pass) and a capstone AI Safety Policy artifact.
What it does not certify
CASF Foundations is entry-level. It does not certify ability to audit, red-team, or lead an AI safety program — those competencies are assessed at CASF Professional and Expert/Lead levels (planned Q3 2026 and Q1 2027, ANAB ISO/IEC 17024 track).
